it rains in this dark blue world of Tuesday nights
the rain darkens the air as citizens sink in misty puddles of past moments of drunken self-truth
insomnia locks my head and my arms, it ties me down to the white sheet, the white pillow
the purple blanket moves in waves and melts away when the lights go off

a million words travel across my faulty brain
it beeps and screams and talks gibberish
impossible nights of quicksand beds, fear and recollections
and not a single believable-God is there
